For this project, the client wanted a warm,  traditional-style kitchen. Cherry cabinets and dark granite countertops were chosen for a formal, upscale appearance. By cladding the existing upper soffit with matching cabinet panels, the kitchen’s visual height was increased. In response to the client’s request for an area to entertain, the peninsula area was outfitted with glass cabinets for wine glasses and an undercounter wine refrigerator.  By lowering the peninsula and wrapping it in cabinet panels, the remodeled kitchen became integrated with the family room, making it perfect for hosting guests.
